Today, the home is a private family residence. For decades it was Owosso’s museum, hosting regular tours and educational programs focused on local history. We hope that one day, with the city’s approval, visitors can again explore the restored rooms, with period furnishings and artifacts that offer a glimpse into upper-class life during the Victorian and Civil War era.

The Amos Gould Historic Home is a beautifully preserved 19th-century residence located along the Shiawassee River in the heart of Owosso, Michigan. Built in 1860, this elegant Italianate-style mansion was once home to Judge Amos Gould, a prominent local businessman and civic leader.

Partner with Us on a Community Event
Each year the Gould House can hold up to two city-permitted special events. If your nonprofit or community group has an event that would be a good fit, we’d love to hear about it. Approved events are free to hold here. The organizer applies for the city’s special event permit with our written permission, and each event can run up to four days.
